There are three kinds of cruise parking in Southampton: the port's own car parks, the official operator for Carnival UK brands, and off-site meet-and-greet or park-and-ride firms. Prices for the on-port options are quoted per cruise rather than published, so the figures below are what the off-site operators and the council list for 2026.
| Operator | Who it serves | Where | Price guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| ABParking (port-owned) | Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Fred. Olsen, MSC, Disney, Silversea, NCL, Oceania, Regent | Inside the port, about 5 minutes on foot from City and Horizon; cruise days only, 24-hour security | quote per cruise; sells out, pre-book |
| CPS, Cruise and Passenger Services | P&O, Cunard, Princess (the only official operator for Carnival UK) | Inside the port at the terminal | quote per cruise; P&O valet quoted at roughly £9.50-20 a day depending on cruise length |
| Parking4Cruises | Any line | Meet and greet at the terminal short-stay car park; cars kept in a compound under 3 miles away | advertises up to 60% off the gate price |
| Triangle Car Park | Ocean Terminal passengers | Cunard Road, 270 spaces, park and ride or valet, pay on arrival | per day |
| Holiday Extras, APH, Airparks | Any line | Meet and greet or park and ride | about £8.40-12.70 a day |
| Council long-stay (Bedford Place, Eastgate Street, Grosvenor Square) | Any line, self park | City centre, 10-15 minutes by taxi | first 24 h £9-11, then £5 a day; about £39-41 a week |
| Westquay multi-storey | Any line, self park | Harbour Parade, 10 minutes on foot from City and Horizon | flat £15 a day, about £105 a week |

How to choose
- Sailing with P&O, Cunard or Princess: CPS is the only operator allowed inside the port for those lines. Book through the cruise line or CPS directly.
- Sailing with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, NCL and the others: ABParking is the on-port option, five minutes on foot from City and Horizon.
- Paying as little as possible: council long-stay at about £40 a week, then a taxi to the terminal. Westquay at £105 a week is closer but pricier.
- Large vehicles and Blue Badge: ABParking takes large vehicles by arrangement with a surcharge; City and Horizon have Blue Badge bays.
Or do not park at all
For one or two passengers from London or the airports, a fixed-price car each way often costs less than a week of port parking plus fuel, and nobody has to find the car park at 07:00 on disembarkation day.
Next step: get to the terminal without the queue
Pre-booked cars meet you at Heathrow, Gatwick or Southampton Central and drive straight to your terminal. Prices are fixed when you book, drivers track the flight, and the car waits if you are late. Taxis from the rank at Southampton Central cost around £10 and take 5-10 minutes.
