The list below is sorted by distance to the Western Docks; everything on it is a short taxi from the Eastern Docks too. Walking times are those published by the city's tourism service.

Park-and-cruise packages
voco Southampton (the former Holiday Inn on Herbert Walker Avenue) and the Harbour Hotel at Ocean Village sell a room the night before plus parking for the length of the cruise and a transfer. For a 7-night sailing that usually undercuts port parking plus a hotel booked separately. Several other hotels offer parking deals; ask when booking.
By terminal
- City and Horizon: Leonardo Royal, voco, ibis and Novotel are all on or beside West Quay Road, a 6-15 minute walk.
- Ocean and QEII: stay around Town Quay and Ocean Village: Harbour Hotel, Ennio's, Second Nature, the Dolphin.
- Mayflower: nothing is truly walkable; voco and Leonardo Royal are the shortest taxi.
