There is no left-luggage office in any Southampton cruise terminal and no permanent facility at Southampton Central. If you arrive the morning before a cruise, or come off a ship with a late train, the options are bag-storage networks that use shops and hotels, or a hotel that holds bags for guests.
| Option | Where | Price guide | Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bag-storage networks (Radical Storage, Stasher, Bounce) | shops and hotels in the city centre, near the station and the coach station | from about £3.50-5 a bag a day | shop hours, some daily 08:00-20:00 |
| Burlington House (via the networks) | city centre, with terminal drop-off and collection | per bag | Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00; terminal service daily 08:00-17:00 |
| Your hotel | if you stayed the night before | usually free for guests | until you leave |

Hotels and the terminals
If you stayed the night before, most hotels keep bags behind the desk until the afternoon at no charge, and the Western Docks hotels are ten minutes on foot from City and Horizon, so the bags can wait there while you see the Old Town and then go straight to the ship. On disembarkation day the same hotels will often hold bags for departing guests for a few pounds if you ask the day before; the voco and the Leonardo Royal both do this routinely for cruise passengers.
How the networks work
You book online, get the address of the nearest partner (a convenience store, a cafe, a hotel desk), drop the bag and collect it later the same day or days later. Bags are insured, and prices are per bag rather than per locker, so two small cases cost more than one large one.

Which point to choose
Arriving by train with a day to fill, use a point near Southampton Central or the coach station so the bags are on the way back to the terminal. Coming off a ship in the morning with an evening flight, a point near Town Quay or Westquay keeps the bags within ten minutes of the Western Docks and the shops. Most points accept bags of any size for the same price and close at shop hours, so check the collection time against your train.
